BIGBANG Holds “World Tour in Seoul” Concert on the 25… Starting the Engine for Comeback

Boy group BIGBANG holds world tour concert on the 25 and 26 this month before their comeback, to meet fans first.




The concert will be held under the title of “BIGBANG 2015 WORLD TOUR IN SEOUL”. It is expected to draw all the more attention, as it is held right before BIGBANG’s comeback on May 1.

Beginning from the Seoul concert announced on the blog today, BIGBANG holds their world tour to meet fans around the world. BIGBANG held their first world tour in 2012, and set a record by attracting 800,000 fans in 12 countries, which was the highest number of audience ever drawn to a Korean singer’s concert. The team is going to break their own record, holding the biggest-ever scale world tour as a Korean artist, which will give them a bigger spotlight.

The world tour will go on until 2016 and BIGBANG will meet about 1,400,000 fans by having 70 concerts in 15 countries. Beginning from Korea, concerts will be held in China, Japan, Southeast Asian countries, and even in countries in the American continent, including some countries that were not included in the previous world tour. BIGBANG will meet more fans around the world in the tour.

World-class staff are joining BIGBANG’s new tour with an unprecedented scale. Roy Bennet, the creative director for the new BIGBANG tour, received “Designer of the Year” award for his lighting and production design, and has designed the stage of concerts of legendary singers such as Scorpions and Prince, as well as Paul McCartney, Beyonce, Lady GaGa, and Lihanna from the 80’s and 90’s. Ed Burke who has been long working as the videographer for Beyonce will also join BIGBANG’s tour as a co-creative director.

In addition, Gil Smith II who has been collaborating with BIGBANG for four years since their first world tour will join as a music director, to present the best live performance to fans once again. Along with those staff, more than 100 American staff members including producer Jonathan Lia who produced a number of music videos of Kanye West, Beyonce, and Madonna, are now creating a block-buster video, which will add to the quality of the tour.

Before the announcement of the tour, YG Entertainment announced that BIGBANG will come back as a “complete team” on May 1.

The comeback of BIGBANG as a complete team is made three years after their performance of “Monster” of STILL ALIVE released in June, 2012. As all BIGBANG members have greatly grown and evolved as artists for the period of time, music fans are paying keen attention to the team’s comeback.

Notably, BIGBANG is a team whose albums have recorded hit every time they are released, and who is highly recognized for the quality of music. Furthermore, as the team has been working very hard for the new album so far, fans are expecting that unprecedentedly good quality music will be born by BIGBANG this time.

Not only Korean fans but also foreign fans are paying keen attention to BIGBANG’s comeback. BIGBANG is one of the boy groups who have the largest number of fans. DAESUNG and TAEYANG have been performing as solo artists in Japan so far, and the team has been under the media’s spotlight, in foreign countries including the United States.

Meanwhile, the tickets of BIGBANG’s Seoul concert form which the team’s world tour begins, will be sold on G-market on April 6 and 7 at around 8pm.
